We Feed Raw Named 2026 Frozen/Raw Product of the Year

Some awards make you stop for a second. This was one of them. We Feed Raw has been named the 2026 Best Dog Food Frozen/Raw Product of the Year by the Pet Innovation Awards, an independent awards program recognizing standout products across the pet industry.

We'll admit it; we're pretty excited.

Why We Won

According to the judges, what set We Feed Raw apart wasn't just the food itself. It was everything around it: making raw feeding more accessible, making it easier, and making it flexible enough to work in real life.

As Travis Grant, Managing Director of the Pet Innovation Awards, put it, "What sets We Feed Raw apart isn't just the product; it's the system around it." He went on to say that we've "changed how accessible raw feeding can be, making it easier, adaptable, and expanding who raw feeding is for."

We'll happily take that.

Because that's exactly what we've been trying to do since 2009. Back then, feeding raw usually meant researching homemade recipes, clearing out half your freezer, hoping you got the nutrient ratios right, and explaining to visitors why there were turkey necks next to the ice cream. It worked for some people. For everyone else, it felt overwhelming.

So we built something different.

Every dog gets a personalized meal plan based on their age, weight, activity level, and health goals. Meals arrive pre-portioned, complete and balanced, and ready to thaw, peel open, and feed. Want to feed fully raw? Great. Want to replace just a few meals each week? That works too. Raw feeding shouldn't require a lifestyle overhaul.

Real Food. Real Standards.

Making raw feeding easier has never meant cutting corners.

Every recipe is formulated by a PhD animal nutritionist using USDA-sourced meats. Every meal is complete and balanced for all life stages. Every batch goes through High Pressure Processing (HPP), third-party testing, and our strict food safety program. That's how we've stayed recall-free since the day we started.

Innovation Doesn't Always Look Revolutionary.

Sometimes it's making something people already wanted to do... actually doable. Knowing exactly how much to feed. Getting a box delivered before you run out. Peeling open dinner in seconds before soccer practice. Being able to feed raw even if it isn't every single meal.

Those things might not sound groundbreaking. But if you've ever wanted to feed your dog better and wondered if raw was too complicated, they matter. Apparently, the judges thought so too.
