By Dog Lovers, For Dog Lovers.

My name is Amy, and I'm the co-founder of We Feed Raw. The story of our company is a story of deep commitment to the well-being of dogs.

This company was founded by my amazing sister, Alissa. She was a dog lover from childhood; we were raised in a home where rescuing animals was practically a family ritual. My sister’s dream was always to help dogs live their best lives, and she knew that started with proper nutrition.

In 2014 when Alissa tragically passed from cancer in her early thirties, my family and I — still grief stricken — rallied together to keep her legacy alive. We love what she built, and we are so proud of what it has become today.

Today we've perfected six PhD-formulated recipes and are delivering them to more dogs than we ever dreamed, all over the country.

This is Teddy. (He lived to 18.)

Alissa had 10 (!) rescues, so her motivation to offer the happiest and healthiest life for dogs came straight from the heart. Her beloved Dachshund, Teddy, was a pint-sized alpha who served as a source of inspiration, and the switch from a highly processed kibble diet to a fresh, raw biologically appropriate one worked wonders. He lived to 18, passing away just months after her.

Today, our whole team feeds their family pets these complete + balanced raw meals, and we literally SEE it working for them every day.

So, yeah. We end up spending a lot of our time talking about our dogs.

How We Make the Healthiest Dog Food on Earth

Dog being fed a raw diet

Optimal Nutrition.

Raw is what nature intended. Any canine expert will confirm that dogs’ teeth, digestive tracts and highly acidic stomachs tell us they thrive on a raw, protein-rich diet. So we partnered with a PhD animal nutritionist with decades of experience to create complete + balanced raw meals that 100% meet or exceed AAFCO nutrition standards.

Superior Quality.

Offering the highest possible quality meats is a huge point of pride for us. So we only put USDA, human-grade meats with no added antibiotics, fillers, or preservatives on our production lines.

Next-level Safety.

We keep extremely high safety standards by producing in USDA-certified facilities and using HPP (high-pressure processing). This means we use pure cold water at high pressure to naturally inactivate potentially harmful pathogens without affecting vital nutrients.

Dog Food Has an Ugly History.

(But We're Changing it.)

Ancient Rome
House dogs get food scraps. (Not so bad, eh?)

Icon of two cheap mass produced dog biscuits

1860
Cheap, mass-produced + wheat-based dog biscuits are born. (Uh-oh. This is like fast food for dogs.)

Icon of raw meat steak

1900s
Self-proclaimed vets try to “civilize” dogs by cutting out raw meat. (Huh?!)

Icon of canned horse meat

1920s
Cheap, cooked horse meat is canned and sold to owners (yikes).

WWII
Aluminum rations mean dog food needs paper packaging. (What does well in paper??)

Enter kibble, made from rendered protein & extruded grains  (so like, low quality meat cereal…)

Icon of a hand holding money

Kibble companies lobbied for so many years to increase profits, that dog owners never had the chance to discover what’s actually best for dogs.

Unfortunately for dogs, kibble is really hard on their bodies. These highly processed carbs and rendered proteins lead to all kinds of health issues for pups.

But a raw, minimally processed, protein-rich diet is what your dog was meant to eat, and what will help them live more happy, healthy dog years.
